This online training course will give you an overview about metadata used to
create standardized records about geospatial and/or biologically oriented
scientific datasets. If you are new to metadata, or need a refresher
because you attended a workshop a while ago, this online training course will help!
The course uses Macromedia Flash, and is divided into chapters.Click on a chapter
here for an audio and visual experience. Once inside a chapter, you may skip to
other chapters.
We hope you enjoy this online workshop. This course was made possible through the
Cooperative Agreement Program (CAP) Grants from the Federal Geographic Data
Committee (FGDC), awarded to the Conservation Management Institute (CMI) at the
Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (VA Tech).
